Rakshabandhan is an ancient concept where Rajput and Maratha Queens used to send rakhis to their neighborhood brothers as a sign of love and token of brotherhood and they would promise that they won’t attack on their kingdom and protect them from all evil things. During the ancient times, a woman used to tie ‘rakshaa’ on her husband’s wrist to protect him from all evil powers but slowly and gradually these concept changed to a great extend. Now a woman ties rakhi on her brother’s wrist and it strengthens the bond of love between the siblings.
