Dawn Financial Services Limited was incorporated with its Registered Office at Chandigarh on January 8, 1996 as a Non Banking Finance Company (NBFC), as per the then prevalent rules, under the Companies Act 1956. In January 1998, April 1999 and later in October 2000 the norms for NBFCs were amended and made very stringent. In the changed statutory environment it was all over for the expansion of small Non Banking Financial Companies and so was for us. However, unlike many others, we continued to move on in the last decade. Company has been granted a Full Fledged Money Changer Licence by Reserve Bank of India and is also an authorized agent of Western Union.
