In 1959 EP Vausdeva Gurukkal started his kalari at Kaduthuruthy under the name CVN Kalari. Now the name has been changed to EPV Kalari. Vasudeva Gurukkal, an expert in different massage therapies, has great skill in learning this ancient Ayurveda treatment, mixing many of the Ayurvedic treatments in his treatment .The Gurukkal has researched and has many findings to his credit.Gurukkalâ€™s son Dr Shaji has not only learned from his father but also has a degree in Ayurveda from Madras University.Dr Shaji is conducting yoga and massage therapy along with Ayurveda treatment. He has got innumerable disciples in India and abroad due to his comprehensive teaching of massage therapy.
